The Kern Company is a political and government affairs firm dedicated to achieving the goals of our clients in the arenas of government and politics.
Founded in 1989 as Anderson & Kern, the firm has served candidates, elected officials, businesses, unions, and associations.
The philosophy of the firm has remained unchanged -- do the very best we can for each client. We analyze each problem and situation for its opportunities for the client. We use our experience, knowledge, and resources to see what is there -- and what is not there-- to achieve the goals of our clients.
We have helped clients gain project approvals, secure contracts, change regulations, organize community support, develop communications programs, raise the profile of issues, investigate policies, obtain reports, analyze government actions, do research, get salary increases and additional benefits, communicate with elected officials and their staffs, get elected to office, and stay in office. We have done all this and more.
For our clients we have developed strategies, designed tactics, mobilized grassroots support, conducted research including focus groups, surveys, and issues, created and placed advertising and, of course, assisted them in political and campaign activities.
